Seminar for reception and defense concludes in Tijuana

 

TIJUANA, Mexico, October 5, 2013 – An International Seminar for Defense and Reception held at Baja California High Performance Center in Tijuana, concluded on Friday with satisfactory results.

 

Twenty-one participants from Dominica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Jamaica, St Kitts & Nevis, St Vincent & Grenadines and hosts Mexico, took part in the four-day activity under the direction of FIVB Instructor Juan Cartagena of Puerto Rico.

 

The certificates of participation were presented by Cartagena himself accompanied by Jackeline Montes, representing the High Performance Center authorities, former athlete Evelyn Carrera, who assisted Cartagena in the course, and Lisandra Ramirez, as supervisor from the Regional Development Center in Dominican Republic.

 

The participants expressed their satisfaction for taking part in the seminar and all things they were able to learn and the opportunity to interact with the instructors and absorb all their knowledge and experience.

 

Cartagena was also satisfied for the interest shown by all the participants and the willingness they showed during the period of the course in the theoretical and practical sessions.
