Clercent takes ECVA MVP Award

 

Beausejour, St Lucia, September 9, 2012- St Lucia’s Joseph Clercent emerged the Most Valuable Player in the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Men’s Championships which ended here at the indoor facility on Sunday night.

 

It was Clercent second regional top award in succession as he was the MVP at the World Championships Qualifiers in April of this year, which was also staged at this venue.

 

The dread locked Clercent was the tournament’s leading scorer with 99.

He added to his trophy rack, the best spiker and the best server awards.

 

Julian Bisette also of the champion team, St Lucia procured the best blocker accolade.

 

The other individual award came the host’s way, was Benson Tertullien who pouched the best receiver trophy.

 

St Kitts’ Kenroy Percival was the best digger and the best libero. Dominica’s Ray Robinson copped the best setter award.

 

St Kitts finished second and Antigua and Barbuda rounded up the top three.

 

Dominica placed fourth, French St Martin was fifth and St Vincent and the Grenadines was sixth.
