Mariana Rodriguez, captain of Costa Rica: “Most of the time when you have teams of the same level in attack and defense, the difference is the emotional factor and to follow the system. You have to do what you know and that’s what we did. Before the game we said to ourselves to go out to enjoy playing and then celebrate the outcome.”

Ruth Aguilar, captain of Honduras: “we came in with a winning mentality. We tried hard, gave our best, but couldn’t get the result. Costa Rica has a good team and we know that we battled.”
