St Lucia females stay unbeaten in ECVA Youth

ST JOHN’S, Antigua - April 18, 2014, St Lucia stayed on course and remained the lone unbeaten team in the female segment of the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Youth Championships taking place here.

Matching up against St Vincent and the Grenadines  in both teams second match of the championships,  St Lucia  pulled the stuffing out of the Vincentians  to win 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-14).

It was the St Lucians second victory on the trot, as in  their first outing stopped French St Martin 3-1, while St Vincent and the Grenadines had recorded a 3-0 trumping on host Antigua and Barbuda.

In other female play on Friday, French St Martin got past Antigua and Barbuda 3-1(25-19, 25-22, 22-25, 25-18), in another keenly contested affair.

St Lucia next plays host Antigua and Barbuda, while St Vincent and the Grenadines go head to head with French St Martin.
