St. Eustatius easily defeats

Saba 3-0

St. Eustatius wasted no time as they defeated Saba with a score of 25- 10; 25- 15; 25 - 14. St. Eustatius dominated from the first whistle through the efforts of Rasheeda Bourne and Carla Duinkerk, each contributing eight points.

Saba seemed to have transformed as they played more relaxed and better communication in comparison to game one.  Consequently, they passed better and scored more points.  Joy-Ann Robinson was the main point contributor.  Unfortunately, her efforts could not turn the game in Saba’s favour.

Coach Elvin Henriquez and Captain Amarikinia of ST. Eustatius were both elated at the victory.  They noted a reduction in errors and used a modified line up to rest some player.  They both felt it was imperative to take the maximum point total.

Saba’s Captain, Jarmila Berkel and Coach Dereck Spence indicated there was an improvement in their performance.  The ladies played relaxed and grew in confidence, however it was recognized more tactical improvements will have to be made to make Saba better.
