St. Eustatius steam rolled the British Virgin Islands in three sets

ORANJESTAD, St Eustatius, July 7, 2018 - St. Eustatius flexed their muscle as they brushed aside the British Virgin Islands with a score of 3-0 (25- 12, 25-13, 25- 20).  The highly partisan home crowd cheered loudly for the home team as they rolled over team British Virgin Islands.  ST. Eustatius buoyant in confidence, passed well and capitalized on the errors of their opponents.    The leading scorers for the home team of St. Eustatius were Michaline Penijn with nine (9) points and Chanel Schmidt with nine (9) points.

The British Virgin Islands seemed anchored as they were unable to generate any offense to thwart the advancement of ST. Eustatius.  Unfortunately for the British Virgin Islands, they awoke too late from their slumber.  However, they showed they have the skill to be a force to reckon with in the future.  The leading scorer for the IVB was Xiomara Malone with seven (7) points.

Coach Spanner of team St. Eustatius was happy his team finally got over their nervousness and showed their true skill.  He did note his team did not play as if they were afraid and communicated effectively with each other.  His counterpart on the other hand felt his team needs to be more confident and limit the points they give to their opposition.
