Technical Seminar for Middle Blockers concludes in Mexico

TIJUANA, Mexico, November 15, 2016 – The technical seminar for Middle Blocker concluded successfully at the FIVB-Norceca Regional Development Center in Baja California.

National and Baja California state sports talent program coaches had the chance to exchange their experience by attending to theoretical and practical sessions. They also participated in some drills that took place during the seminar directed by Puerto Rican instructor and Coach Juan Cartagena.

Game evolution and innovations as well as tactics, were some of the points analyzed according to the characteristics of this kind of player. Blocking techniques and exercises were executed during the on court sessions.

Participants received an official FIVB certificate at the closing ceremony that was conducted by coach Cartagena and the Development center operations director, Alberto Arreola, who attended on behalf of the Baja California Sports Director and Norceca First Executive Vice President, Saul Castro Verdugo. 

After closing the seminar, Center authorities informed that a new course is scheduled as well as a Mini Volleyball Fest with the participation of several teams from all over the Baja California region. Dates are still to be confirmed, but expected to take part in December.
