RIMINI, Italy, June 19, 2021 – Thailand beat
Canada 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-17) in the
penultimate date of the preliminary round of the
FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League on
Saturday.
The Thais only committed 8 unforced errors
compared to 22 by the Cannucks. They also held
the margin in serves 5-1 and attacks 46-36.
Malika Khanthong was the best scorer for
Thailand with 16 points, followed by Pleumjit
Thinkaow and Onuma Sittirak with 13 and 10,
respectively.
Hillary Howe and Kiera Van Ryk led the limited
Canadian offense with 9 and 8 points,
respectively.
On Sunday, Thailand plays Italy and Canada meets
Belgium. |
