The U18 National Team of Argentina

begins training camp in Baja California

 

   

TIJUANA, Mexico, March 24 2015 - After winning the U18 Pan American Cup in Havana just a few days ago, the National Team of Argentina arrived in Mexico to begin a traning camp at the High Performance Center.

 

The squad that just a few days ago conquered the gold medal at the tournament organized by the Pan American Volleyball Union (Conformed by the Norceca and South American Volleyball Confederations) will also compete at the 2015 Edition of the Baja Cup to be played next week.

 

This tournament will be also played as part of a preparation for the South American team as well as for the local squads in Baja California that will compete at the Mexican National Junior Olympic Championships.

 

The U18 unid coached by Mauro Silvestre, as the technicall staff conformed by  assistant Gustavo Stricker, team manager Vicente Finelli and physical trainer Rocío Flamini, made tour around the facilities along with the Baja California Women’s Volleyball Teams coach, Estanislao Matias Vachino.

 

The players and members of the technical staff visited the Multipurpose Gym, Sports Medicine Area, the Dining Room, the Beach Volleyball Area and some other parts of the Sports Complex, as well as the Athletic Village, where the Argentinean team will stay for almost two weeks.

 

The roster of the U18 Pan American cup champions is that will compete at the Baja Cup is composed by Libero Valentina Gonzalez, setters Azul Benítez and Sabrina Germanier; as well as Middle Blockers Agostina Beltramino, Candela Nota and Candela Salinas.

 

Also Outside Hitters Araceli Meinardi, Fiamma Biain, Brenda Churin and Maria Corbalan made the trip from Cuba, as well as Opposite players Melisa Corzo and Anahí Tosi, this last one was the, MVP of the U18 Pan Am Cup.
