Twenty Puerto Rican Coaches Approve Level 1

 

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, July 1, 2018 - Twenty new coaches approved the International Level 1 Coaches Course held by the Puerto Rican Volleyball Federation and the FIVB Regional Development Center, during the past days.

 

The working sessions took ´place in the Sports Complex of the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras campus.

 

"I appreciate the trust that the president of the Federation (Dr. César Trabanco) gave me, as well as the support of the participants in their commitment from the moment number one", said the director of the Course, José Mieles.

 

The Course was offered by the Cuban technician, Jorge Garbey.

 

The best notes of the Course were the former Ponce player, Jerry Vega, Nelson Villanueva who was assistant to the Carolina Giants and former Toa Baja coach, Jerry De Jesus. Others who also approved the national women's coach were Javier Gaspar, his assistant Abdell Otero and the Peruvian national coach, Maria I. Salas.

 

This was the first International Coaches Course in Puerto Rico since 2006.
