USA are back on the winning track

UFA, Russia, June 9, 2019 – United States went back to the winning track in the FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League following a 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 25-17) victory over Portugal on Sunday.

Benjamin Patch led the winners with 20 points followed by Torey DeFalco with 12.

Marco Ferreira and Alexandre Ferreira notched 16 and 12 points, respectively, for Portugal while Filip Cveticanin added 11 in the loss.

The United States are now 2-4 while newcomer Portugal is 1-5 after two weeks of play.

No matter their record in the preliminary phase of the competition, as host of this year’s six-team Finals the American team is secured of a place in the event.
