USA’s men teams jump to 2-0 records

PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic, September 15, 2017 - The two men’s teams representing United States at Punta Cana Beach Volleyball Tournament won their two contests in a rainy opening day on Friday.

Stafford Slick and William Allen of United States-A and William Kolinske and Miles Evans of United States-B won two matches in Pools A and C, respectively.

Slick/Allen opened men’s actions in Pool B with a morning victory over Canada’s Simon Fecteau-Boutin and Hugo Rosso-Boneau 21-17, 21-15 and closed with a 21-8, 21-15 job over Eccles/Theodore of Trinidad & Tobago.

In Pool C, Kolinske/Evans beat Deivy Ramírez/Raymer Sarmiento of Dominican Republic-C 21-9, 21-9 and Nicaragua’s Gerald Umaña/Dany López 21-11, 21-9.

Sergey Grabosky and Fiodar Kazhamiaka of Canada-A also claimed victories over Umaña/López 21-15, 21-17 and Ramírez/Sarmiento 21-13, 21-12.

In the three-team Pool A, William Sanchez and Victor Castillo received a bye and then defeated Guadeloupe’s Arnouts/Lavoye 21-12, 21-17.

Pool B: USA-A d CAN-B 2-0 (21-17, 21-15), DOM-B d TTO 2-0 (21-8, 21-15), USA-A d TTO 2-0 (21-8, 21-15), CAN-B d DOM-B 2-0 (21-12, 21-12).

Pool C: USA-B d DOM-C 2-0 (21-9, 21-9), CAN-A d NCA 2-0 (21-15, 21-17), USA-B d NCA 2-0 (21-11, 21-9), CAN-A d DOM-C 2-0 (21-13, 21-12)
