Vadala’s philosophy: Keep it Simple and Easily Understood

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, July 1, 2020 – The virtual Sport Administration Seminar organized by the NORCECA/FIVB Regional Volleyball Development Center in the Dominican Republic continued on Tuesday with the dissertation by Chris Vadala, Chief Operation Officer of USA Volleyball.

The topic developed by Mr. Vadala was “Planning and Development” and he started explaining the necessity of keeping the philosophy simple and easily understood.

He then commented on the SWOT Analysis which includes Strengths, Weakness, Opportunity and Threats, which calls to take advantage of strengths and opportunities and minimize the weakness and threats.

He explained the four components of the plan: Strategic Plan, Annual Plan, Accountabilities and Budget.

Among the key components of the Strategic Plan, he mentioned mission, vision, priorities, objectives and goals and went on to describe each one of them.

He then took questions from the participants who made his dissertation very interactive.
