Volleyball Stadium in Barranquilla goes through inspection

BARRANQUILLA, Colombia, June 4, 2018 – The Humberto Perea Coliseum of Barranguila, site of the volleyball tournament of the Central American and Caribbean Games, passed an inspection visit made representatives of NORCECA and the Colombian Volleyball Federation.

José Pochopek, the delegate designated by NORCECA and the local federation, led a group of experts who inspected the playing court, locker rooms, anti-doping station, first-aid area of the facility.

Pochopek felt satisfied with the explanations received from the constructors and the members of the organizing committee who also took part of the inspection visit.

This is the second inspection made by NORCECA in order to secure the coliseum meets all the requirements to host the volleyball competition of the Games.

The president of NORCECA Cristobal Marte Hoffiz made the first inspection last year and will receive the report of the second visit later this month.
