BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, December 6, 2015 - Over 150 next generation stars of Caribbean volleyball have been encouraged to boldly go forward to achieve regional and international glory for the NORCECA region.

That lofty goal has been set by the President of CAZOVA, Mushtaque Mohammed, the President of the Barbados Volleyball Association, John Griffith and Secretary General of the Barbados Olympic Association, Erskine Simmons as the trio welcomed the players to the 10th Junior Caribbean Volleyball Championships in Bridgetown.

Griffith in his welcome indicated the great significance of the Under 20 and Under 21 CAZOVA games in preparing the region for success at the NORCECA level.  While Mohammed encouraged the players to fight hard to ensure that the gold medal winners are worthy champions.

Simmons officially opened the games which will see 15 teams vying for supremacy from Monday to next Sunday.  Martinique are the defending girls' champions while Barbados will defend the boys' title in what is expected to be a very keen contest against seven other regional teams.
