Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Cuba Complete
Women’s Semifinal Field at Santo Domingo 2026
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, July 30, 2026. – The
semifinal lineup of the women’s beach volleyball tournament at
the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026
was completed on Thursday, with host Dominican Republic,
defending champion Puerto Rico, Mexico and Cuba advancing to the
medal round following straight-set quarterfinal victories. The
semifinals will be played on Friday at the Malecón Deportivo. At
11:00 a.m.

Colombia’s Miguel Ángel Martínez Named MVP of
Santo Domingo 2026
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, July 30,
2026. – Colombia’s Miguel Ángel Martínez was
named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the
men’s volleyball tournament at the 25th Central
American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026
after leading his country to its first-ever gold
medal in the event. Martínez also collected the
Best Opposite award and finished as the
tournament’s Best Scorer with 110 points, making
him the most decorated player of the competition
with three individual honors. Guatemala placed
two players on the tournament’s Dream Team with
Adolfo Rivas earning Best Setter honors and José
Pablo Pérez recognized as First Best Spiker.
Cuba had three award recipients.
