Host Canadians continue winning ways at 2026
NORCECA Men’s Continental Championship
MONCTON, Canada, September 12, 2026 –
Canada delighted the home crowd for the second
night in a row Saturday at the NORCECA Men’s
Continental Championship at Moncton’s Avenir
Centre. The host Canadians beat Puerto Rico 3-0
(25-19, 25-17, 25-17) to run their Group A
record to 2-0. Canada
held a slim edge for most of the first set,
never leading by more than four. With the score
21-19 for the home side, Fynn McCarthy subbed in
and hit three aces in a row. That set the stage
for Eric Loeppky’s block to clinch the final
point for Canada, one of a set-high seven points
for Loeppky. T.

Dominican Republic Remains Unbeaten at Pan
American Cup After Defeating Venezuela
LEÓN, Mexico, September 12, 2026.- The Dominican
Republic earned its second win in Pool A of the
2026 Women’s Pan American Cup after defeating
Venezuela 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-9) on Saturday
at the Domo de la Feria in León, Guanajuato.With
the victory, the Dominican Republic improved to
2-0, while Venezuela remains winless after two
days of competition. Venezuela challenged the
Dominican Republic through the first two sets,
pulling within 19-18 in the opener before the
Dominicans scored the final six points for a
25-18 win. The second set remained competitive
before the Dominican Republic prevailed 25-20,
and the Caribbean side then took complete
control of the third, jumping ahead 10-4 on the
way to a commanding 25-9 finish.
