Rogers and Doherty impress with strong show

GRAND CAYMAN, Cayman Islands, March 22, 2013 - Former Olympic and world champion Todd Rogers and new partner Ryan Doherty made an impressive debut in 2013 by winning their two matches in opening day of the Cayman Islands Beach Volleyball Tournament, the first stage of the NORCECA Circuit. Playing in Pool A, the tandem of USA-A first defeated Richard Campbell and Philippe Deslandes of Cayman Islands-B 21-9, 21-12 and capped their day with a 21-13, 21-14 victory over Aseah Thomas and Anthony Pippen of U.S. Virgin Islands. Women’s teams of USA and Canada off to good start

GRAND CAYMAN, Cayman Islands, March 22, 2013 – The two women’s teams representing each United States and Canada won twice on Friday during the opening action at the Cayman Islands Beach Volleyball Tournament, the first stop of the 2013 NORCECA Circuit. Americans Jenny Kropp and Whitney Pavlik in Pool A and Jennifer Fopma and Brooke Sweat on Pool C won their contest with comfortable margin in day one at Seven Mile Beach. Kropp/Pavlik won 21-14, 21-9 over Jessica Wolfenden and Stefania Gandolfi of Cayman Islands-B and won by default 21-0, 21-0 against Nikita Campbell and Shanique Deshong of St Vincent and Grenadines. NORCECA Beach Circuit set to begin at Cayman Islands
