Martinez of Dominican Republic was named the Most Valuable
Player MVP of the NORCECA Women’s U-20 Continental Championship
at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Natalia Martinez received the individual award from the hands of
Cristobal Marte Hoffiz NORCECA President and FIVB First

Republic defeated United States 3-1 (25-22, 25-14, 23-25, 25-17)
winning the NORCECA Women’s U-20 Continental Championship title
and a ticket to the 2017 FIVB age-group World Championship.

Women’s U-20 Bronze medal at Nova Southeastern University in Ft.

Haiti finishes seventh beating French St. Martin

seventh at the NORCECA Women’s U-20 Continental Championship
after beating French St. Martin 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-11) at
Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
The match between win-less teams was controlled by Haiti who
accomplished their goal on not finishing last. Haiti’s spikers
outplayed their opponents’ defense with more strength.

Cuba sweeps Haiti in opening match
FORT LAUDERDALE, United States, July 26. 2016. - Cuba swept away
Haiti in straight sets 25-8, 25-9, 25-14 in opening match of the NORCECA Women’s U-20 Continental Championship at Nova
Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Cuba’s powerful serves (12-1) were too much for Haiti, who
sustained a couple of good rallies with good defense. Cuba also
held huge advantage in blocks (7-0) and in spikes (33-15).
Outside hitter and captain Diaris Perez topped all scorers with
13 points joined by setter Dalila Palma with 11 points. Haiti’s
best scorer was opposite Solaida Pierre with 8 points.
