Arturo Iglesias MVP at Men’s NORCECA Continental Championship

DURANGO, Mexico, August 23, 2021. - Arturo Iglesias, Puerto Rican captain, was elected as the Most Valuable Player MVP of the Men’s NORCECA Continental Championship during the awarding ceremony after his team conquered their first gold medal in the history of the event. Puerto Rico wins first ever Men’s NORCECA title

DURANGO, Mexico, August 23, 2021. - Puerto Rico won their first NORCECA Men’s Continental Championship title defeating Canada 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-23) in the gold medal match at Auditorio del Pueblo in Durango, Mexico. Puerto Rico made history on Monday night with their first championship win, adding their one silver medal and two bronze; Canada finishes second for sixth occasion, they also have one gold and 14 bronze medals. Mexico earns Bronze medal with win over Cuba

DURANGO, Mexico, August 23, 2021.- Mexico earned the Bronze Medal at the Men’s NORCECA Continental Championship defeating reigning champion Cuba 3-1 (22-25, 25-18, 30-28, 27-25) at Auditorio del Pueblo in Durango, Mexico. Puerto Rico upsets Cuba, will play for Gold and qualifies for FIVB Worlds

DURANGO, Mexico, August 22, 2021- Puerto Rico will play for Gold and qualified to the FIVB 2022 World Championship upsetting Cuba 3-1 (25-16, 19-25, 26-24, 31-29) in semifinals at the Men’s NORCECA Continental Championship in Durango, Mexico. Puerto Rico struck first with a convincing first set, while Cuba came back with strength over the net to even the scores. DURANGO; Mexico, August 22, 2021.- United States beat Guatemala 3-1 (23-25, 25-22, 25-19, 33-31) and will play Dominican Republic for fifth place at the Men’s NORCECA Continental Championship in Durango, Mexico.
