Prisilla Rivera named MVP of the Pan Am Cup

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, September 19, 2021 - On the night of her retirement from the game after a 20-year career with the Dominican Volleyball Team, Prisilla Rivera was awarded as the Most Valuable Player of the 19th edition of the Women's Pan American Cup. Rivera, who will turn 37 on December 29, was one of four Dominicans recognized during the Closing Ceremony of the event held at the Gioriber Arias Pavilion. More  Español

Dominicans claim fifth gold medal

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, September 19, 2021 - The host Dominican Republic won its fifth gold medal in the history of the Women's Pan American Volleyball Cup after beating Mexico in consecutive sets 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-14) this Sunday. The Dominicans joined the 2005 Cuban team as the only ones in history to have finished undefeated in a cup without losing a single set.  More  Español

USA defeated Canada for the bronze medal

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, September 19, 2021 – United States defeated Canada in straight sets 3-0 (26-24, 25-17, 25-17) in the bronze medal match of the Women’s Volleyball Pan American Cup on Sunday. It is the 13th medal –fourth bronze- for the United States in the history of the competition, including seven gold medals and two silvers.  After the fourth place finish, Canada remained. SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, September 18, 2021 - Host Dominican Republic advanced to the final of the Women's Volleyball Pan American Cup for the eighth consecutive edition by defeating Canada 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-21 ) this Saturday. The Dominicans, who are seeking a fifth crown at the event, will face Mexico, a surprise contender after beating the three-time defending champions United States in the first semifinal. SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, September 18, 2021 - Mexico secured its first ever medal at the Women's Volleyball Pan American Cup after a surprise 3-1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-19) win over three-time reigning champion United States in Saturday's first semifinal.
