DURANGO, Mexico, September 29, 2021 - Argentina
defeated the Dominican Republic in straight sets
3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-18) in the match for the
ninth place at the FIVB Girls’ U18 Volleyball
World Championship on Wednesday.
Agustina Campanella, the captain of Argentina,
was the best scorer of the winners with 12
points, followed by Milena Margaria with 10 and
Avril García and Nicole Pérez with 9 and 8,
respectively.
Ariana Rodriguez Fung was the best scorer for
the Dominican Republic with 11 points and Elsa
Cuevas had 9 in the losing cause.
The Argentines led the Dominicans in service
aces 10-2 and both teams had 5 blocks. In
attacks the winners led 40-29 and made 19 errors
against 20 of the losers. |
