Ball set in action at Harborside Beach in La Paz

 

   

LA PAZ, Mexico, April 8, 2016 - The ball was served at the Harborside Beach in La Paz to begin the third stop of the Norceca Beach Volleyball Continental Circuit.

 

Despite the rainy weather the night before, conditions were exellent for Men’s tournament.

 

Actions began at the Harborside Beach with the victories of the Guaymas stop champions, Sergio Gonzalez and Nivaldo Díaz of Cuba, in Pool A, over Manuel Serrano and Randall  Vigil of Honduras in two by scores of 21-13, and 21-13.

 

The Cubans finished on top of their Pool with a 3-0 record, the same one achieved by Americans Taylor and Trevor Crabb, who clinched the first place in Pool B with a 1.853 point ratio.

 

In their next two matches, they beat Mexicans Juan Revuelta and Ricardo Galindo (21-19, 21-14), as well as Felipe Humana-Paredes and Christian Redman, of Canada-A  (21-18, 21-16).

 

The Crabb Brothers, opened with a victory over Winston Ramon Calderon and Miguel Angel López of Nicaragua (21-18, 21-13).

 

Their second victory was against Sebastian Valenciano and Monge of Costa Rica in two (21-8, 21-16), while against Darnel Eudoxie and Tevin St Jean of Saint Lucia, won by scores of 21-11, 21-11.

 

Serrano and Vigil of Honduras gave the biggest surprise of the opening day, after winning over Felipe Humana-Paredes and Christian Redman of Canada-A in three sets (21-19, 14-21, 16-14).

 

“We feel great after this match, this is a wonderful stage and we want to thank Mexican fans for their support,” said the Central American Players.

 

Humana-Paredes and Redman had opened with a triumph over hosts Juan Revuelta and Ricardo Galindo 2-0 of Mexico-B (21-18, 21-16).
