SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, April 15,
2022 – The preliminary inquiry of teams taking
part in the Santo Domingo Beach Volleyball
Qualification Tournament to the FIVB World
Championships took place on Friday on the eve of
the start of the competition in both genders.
Teams from eight countries passed the
inspections of uniforms and passports performed
by the control committee of the event presided
over by Jose Luis Jimenez assisted by Indhira
Ramirez and Juvenal Collado.
The competition will kick off at 14:00 (local
time) on Saturday with all the action of pool
play. The semifinals and finals scheduled on
Easter Sunday.
Pairs from eight countries are taking part in
the tournament with the teams divided into two
pools of three. The top two teams will advance
to the semifinals and compete in crossed matches
with the winners advancing to the finals with
secured tickets to the FIVB World Championships
in Italy.
Pool A Men: United
States, Guatemala and El Salvador. Pool
B Men: Mexico,
Puerto Rico and Cuba. Pool A Women: United
States, Guatemala and Costa Rica. Pool B
Women: Mexico, El Salvador and Jamaica. |
