Bynoe and Volleyball capture top awards in Barbados

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, January 7, 2019 - It was a proud moment for the Barbados Volleyball Association when President Kenmore Bynoe led a number of its members in capturing top awards when the National Sports Council held its annual awards at the Wildey Gymnasium on Saturday night.

President Bynoe who works with the leading print media as a photo-journalist as well as provides daily voice reports on volleyball for the Government-owned Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) was chosen as the top Sports Journalist for 2019.

That proved to be an early present for Bynoe who will celebrate another birthday on January 10.

Also in winners’ row were the Junior Volleyball Team that won the Cazova Youth Boys and the Cazova Junior Boys’ and Girls’ titles. Youth Captain Che Taylor and Coach Elwyn Oxley received the award.

Cazova Youth MVPs Tenielle Chapman-Goodluck and Dimitri Holder were also honoured with Emerging Athlete Awards.
