Caguas captures eleventh title of LVSF

 

   

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, May 7, 2016 – The Criollas de Caguas captured their eleventh title in the history of the Puerto Rican Women’s Volleyball Superior League by dominating Capitalinas de San Juan in straight sets.

 

The scores of the fourth match were 25-23, 25-19, 25-16.

The Criollas controlled the match with great ball control and effective offense from Stephanie Enright who carried her team.

 

Enright totaled 21 points and was selected the Most Valuable Player of the Final Series. It is the second time in her career that Enright is selected the Finals’ MVP as she also won in 2011 when the Criollas won the title.

 

Karina Ocasio had 18 points and Lynda Morales added nine. For San Juan, Daly Santana had 15 and Haley Eckerman added 10.

 

For coach Juan Carlos Núñez it was the seventh time he leads a team to a championship in the LVSF, the second with more titles.
