Coaches Course Level II Opens in Santo Domingo

 

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, Jun 5, 2017 – The NORCECA/FIVB Regional Volleyball Development Center in the Dominican Republic is hosting an International Coaches Course Level II as part of its annual programme of activities.

 

The course is under the direction of Spaniard Francisco Hervas who has accumulated a long experience as FIVB instructor.

 

“I really believe in the good and solid formation as the ideal way to grow,” said Hervas while addressing to the participants hailing from several countries of the North, Central American and Caribbean region at the opening ceremony.

 

“I am grateful that you have chosen me again to teach this course as I am convinced we will be achieving all the objectives,” Hervas added in the presence of Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of NORCECA.

 

Angel Rivas, vice president of the Dominican Volleyball Federation welcomed the participants in the activity attended by Luis Mejia Oviedo and Antonio Acosta, president and secretary, respectively, of the Dominican Olympic Committee, Tony Mesa who represented the Ministry of Sports and Nelson Ramirez, director of the development center.

 

Marte Hoffiz underlined the growth experienced by the national federations of Central American and the Caribbean whose national teams have been able to position in the qualifying events to the main continental and world events.

 

The course runs until next Friday at the premises of the Regional Center which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
