Dominican Ambassador supports his national team in Peru

LIMA, Peru, August 18, 2018 – The U23 Dominican Republic U23 Women’s Team is on the brink of winning a fourth consecutive crown at the Pan American Cup to maintain the dominance in the event that has been held in Peruvian soil in all those four editions starting in 2012.

One special fan of the Dominican side was present at Manuel Bonilla Coliseum of Miraflores to watch the semifinal match against Cuba on Saturday cheering loudly for his favorite squad.

It was nothing less than the Ambassador for the Dominican Republic in Peru, H.E. Dr. Daniel Guerrero who enthusiastically stepped down into the court after the 3-1 victory to pose with the members of the team accompanied by part of the staff of the embassy.

Besides Ambassador Guerrero, the Dominican diplomatic personnel who attended the match included Counselors Ministers Silvio Alberto Reyes and Flor Alba Espaillat as well as Counselor Allalibis Pimentel.

The members of the Dominican team, led by the captain Brayelin Martínez, joyfully chatted with the representatives of their country in Peru.

“It is good to know that our diplomatic representatives are aware of our presence here and especially of great satisfaction to see the ambassador taking time to visit us and cheer for our country,” she said.
