Marcos Kwiek, Dominican Republic coach: “It was a good match, Canada
was able to play, we also put all our players into action. After
winning the first set, we knew we were going to finish first in our
group, so I put all the players into action, and it was good that we
played five sets so they could play under pressure, we had good
serves and receptions, which are important for us to continue
building and developing the team.”
Matthew Krueger, Canada coach: “I think today was fantastic, I think
we've been making strides throughout the tournament, our challenge
today was to go out and play against a very experienced team like
the Dominican Republic. I think my girls came out and fought, I'm
proud of them, we followed the game plan and were aggressive
throughout the match, and it's a big step for Canada.” |
