Easy win for USA over Suriname

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, September 6, 2021 – United States swept Suriname 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-14) to open the fourth day of actions at the Men’s Volleyball Pan American Cup on Monday.

The strong serves by the American side proved to be a key factor in the victory as the winners landed 12 aces to none by the losers. In the blocking category, they also dominated 12-3.

Jacob Pasteur registered 19 points, including six aces, as the leading scorer for United States. Ethan Champlin contributed 13 in the victory while Merrick McHenry and Kyle McCauley each had 7 points.

 Andy Read, coach of United States: “This match allowed me the chance to mover the whole team. We took advantage of that to correct some aspects of the game we missed yesterday and being able to prepare for the upcoming dates.”
