Fans from Matsudo support Dominican team

HAMAMATSU, Japan, September 29, 2018 – The Dominican Republic national team lost to Serbia in their debut at the FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship but at the end of the match received some kind of relief with the comforting visit of a group of fans who came from the city of Matsudo to cheer for the Caribbean side.

The fans from Matsudo had the opportunity to greet the Dominican players who will play Brazil, Kazakhstan, Kenya and Puerto Rico in their next matches in Pool D.

The city of Matsudo is developing an agriculture program in the Dominican city of Constanza where they cultivate pears which then are exported to Japan.

The delegation of Matsudo presented the players with typical crafts from their region as well as three boxes of pears produced in the Dominican Republic for the consumption of the team and technical staff.

At the end of the visit, the delegation of Matsudo joined the players for a group photo.
