Jessica Mruzik Most Valuable Player of NORCECA U18

 

Tegucigalpa, Honduras. 01 de septiembre 2018. Jessica Mruzik was awarded as the Most Valuable Player after United States beat Canada 3-0 (25-13, 25-12, 25-23) to win their eighth Women’s NORCECA U18 Championship and both teams qualifying to the 2019 FIVB World Championship U18.

 

During the awarding ceremony chaired by NORCECA President Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, the United States was crowned with unbeaten record and players were honored with individual awards.

 

Jessica Mruzik besides being the Most Valuable Player of the tournament was also the Best Wing Spiker and Allison Jacobs was the second best Wing Spiker.

 

From USA, Emily Londot receive the award as Best Opposite Player, Hattie Monson was the Best Digger and Best Receiver and Orr Kennedi the Best Setter.

 

Canadian Katerina Geordiadis was awarded as the Best Libero and cuban Thainalien Castillo as Best Scorer and Best Server. Dominican Republic was awarded with two individual recognitions, Geraldine González as Best Middle Blocker and Estefany Rabit as 2da Best Middle Blocker.
