Liberato: Player of the Year in Santo Domingo Province

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, May 29, 2020 – Young player Mia Liberato has been recognized as Best Female Volleyball Player in the annual awards of the Sport Union of the Province of Santo Domingo.

Besides the 15-year-old Liberato was awarded Jairo Canela Jáquez in male volleyball.

Augusto Martínez, president of the Union, visited Liberato at her home to present the corresponding plaque. He was accompanied by Antonio Acosta, vice president of the Dominican Republic Olympic Committee.

Mia credited her parents who introduced her in the practice of sports at an early age and planted in her education the values of the hard work.

“This award is one of the many I dream of,” Liberato said. “I dream with being a Queen of the Caribbean and I daily work very hard to make me the best player possible,” said Mia who belongs to the U17 National Team.
