Martin Ramos elected MVP of Pan Am Cup

 

GATINEAU, Canada, July 30, 2017 – Martin Ramos of Argentina was selected as Most Valuable Player of the XII Men’s Volleyball Pan American Cup won by his team with an unbeaten record after claiming the gold medal in a contest against Puerto Rico on Sunday.

 

Pablo Crer, the second best middle blocker of the competition, was the other Argentinean included in the All-Star team.

 

Venezuelan Hector Mata took home the awards as best libero, best digger and best receiver, respectively, and teammates Emerson Rodriguez as best scorer and Edson Valencia as best server, were also recognized.

 

Dominicans José Cáceres and Wilfrido Hernández, received the awards as best opposite and second best outside hitter, respectively, and Mitchell Stahl of United States was the best middle blocker.

 

Cuba’s Miguel López won the award as best outside hitter and Puerto Rican Edgardo Goas completed the list of awardees as best setter.
