Naranjito prevails in duel with Caguas to open final series

NARANJITO, Puerto Rico, May 4, 2019 – Changas de Naranjito outdueled Criollas de Caguas in a dramatic five-setter to open the final series of the Puerto Rican Women’s Superior League on Friday night.

Andrea Rangel registered 38 points to help the 3-2 (25-21, 22-25, 23-25, 25-22, 17-15) victory. Paola Rojas added 18 for the winners while Carolina Biver and Naomi Santos each contributed 11 points.

Karina Ocasio was the best scorer for Caguas with 26 points. Oneida González and Diana Reyes added 22 and 21, respectively, in the loss.

The second match of the series will take place on Sunday at 7:30 in Caguas.
