President Medina salutes election of Annerys Vargas

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, July 12, 2018 – The President of the Dominican Republic, H.E. Danilo Medina Sánchez congratulated veteran player Annerys Vargas Valdez for his election and subsequent award as volleyball player of the year at the Olympic Gala sponsored by the Dominican Olympic Committee.

In a letter to Vargas Valdez, President Medina expressed his hopes that “this is only a link in your long chain of success and contributes to project you as an example for the present and future generations”.

Vargas has been a mainstay in the Dominican team since 1998 and is currently takin part in the Women’s Pan American Cup being held In Santo Domingo.

President Medina was named Patron of the XVII Women’s Pan American Cup by Viva.
