Refreshing workshop for VIS delegates and statisticians

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, February 27, 2017 – A refreshing workshop for VIS delegates to NORCECA competition was held in Santo Domingo last Sunday on the occasion of the annual meeting of the Statistics and VIS Commission.

Mexican Lorenzo Martinez, Dominicans Yanida Pascual and Bienvenido Mateo and Venezuelan Yeivic Jimenez took turns to explain the latest modifications to the Volleyball Information System and the different forms.

Martinez explained the VIS on line, Mateo and Jimenez commented on the scoring sheet for both volleyball and beach volleyball (use of the manual sheet, installation and configuration, problems and solutions) and Pascual informed on the new developments.

A practical session was organized late in the afternoon with the participation of two regular teams for an official match with all the necessary equipment for the use of the VIS with computers for each head of the court, the center of control and for the electronic scoring sheet.

The participants were divided into three groups of work and the participants included Neila Alicea, Shane Roachford, Nathaniel Ngo, Yinet Cruz, Orson James, Jill Edwards, Manuel Calderon and Claudia Rivera as well as a local staff from the Dominican Federation.
