School Teachers attend course in U.S. Virgin Islands

 

   

ST. CROIX, Virgin Islands, June 23, 2015 – A technical volleyball course for 33 school teachers, recreational leaders and coaches was conducted in St. Croix, Virgin Islands from June 19 to 23 at the Ronald Charles Basketball Arena.

The course took place under the auspices of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and the Virgin Islands Volleyball Federation (VIVF).

The activity was under the supervision of FIVB Instructor Susan Gozansky of Claremont, California. 

An opening ceremony was held to launch the course being held in collaboration with the Virgin Islands Department of Education. 

Attendees included Angel Morales, Virgin Islands Olympic Committee President, Blanche Bough, Executive Director of Virgin Islands Volleyball Federation, María Encarnacion, Director of Curriculum and Instruction of the Department of Education, and Alphenis Williams, Treasurer of VIVF.

Lucille Hobson, President of the Virgin Islands Volleyball Federation, expressed her gratitude to the FIVB and the Department of Education for their efforts in the organization of this important course.
