Seminar of Defense, Reception and Libero in Morelos

 

MORELOS, Mexico, July 6, 2018 – An International Seminar for Defense, Reception and Libero began today at the Auditorium of the University Central Library of the State of Morelos in Mexico.

 

Forty-one participants hailing from all over the Mexican Republic are attending the course directed by Puerto Rican instructor Juan Cartagena. There is also a participant from Peru.

 

The opening ceremony was chaired by Jacqueline Guerra, director of the General Institute of Sport and Physical Culture of Morelos.

 

Also in attendance were Alvaro Reyna Reyes, director of sports of the State University of Morelos, Raul Porras, who is the coordinator of the course, and Angel Zapata who represented Jesus Perales, the president of the Mexican Volleyball Federation.

 

Lisandra Ramírez is representing the NORCECA/FIVB Regional Development Center in Dominican Republic, which oversees the seminar.

 

Guerra Olivares encouraged the participants to take advantage of this important course as a tool to help in the formation and training of volleyball athletes in Mexico.

 

She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to host the seminar while she hopes is the first of many courses to be held in Morelos.
