CASTAWAYS, Antigua, April 25. 2015. - At the conclusion of day
two of competition of the ECVA BVB Zonal Tournament qualifier to
the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, teams from St. Lucia and Antigua &
Barbuda remain undefeated.
Castaways Beach witnessed St. Lucia’s and Antigua’s good shape,
earning their second series win and securing a spot at the next
round of the NORCECA Continental Cup.
St. Lucia’s series against St. Vincent finished 3-1, as Sheldon
Descartes/Darnel Eudoxie of team B prevailed in two matches,
while team A with Agustin Faulkner/Coen Caesar beat St.
Vincent’s team B Ronaldo Franklyn/Asmond Franklyn.
Antigua & Barbudas’ tandem A, Jamarie James/Collin Thomas beat
Everson Browne/Sterdroy Collins and Kemoroy Percival/St. Clair
Hodge from St. Kitts & Nevis; while Adrian Constant/Yoshid
Augiste ANT-B prevailed over Everson Browne/Sterdroy Collins SKN-A
to conclude the series 3-1.
Thru the loser’s bracket, also making it into the next round are
St. Kitts & Nevis, Dutch St. Maarten, Dominica and St. Vincent.
The competition resumes on Sunday with intense series that’ll
determine the final series. In a battle of undefeated teams, St.
Lucia clashes with Antigua & Barbudas; St. Kitts & Nevis face
Dutch St. Maarten and Dominica waits for the winner of this last
match.
