USA Women defeat Bulgaria, improve to 4-1 

QUEZON CITY, Philippines, June 15, 2022 – Defending champions United States’ women team continued its campaign at the FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL) claiming a straight-set 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-20) victory over Bulgaria on Wednesday.

The Americans improved their win-loss record to 4-1 with the only defeat to the hands of Japan in the first round of the competition in Shreveport, Louisiana. Bulgaria fell to a 1-4 record.

Kelsey Robinson led a balanced American attack with 14 points, followed by Danielle Cuttino with 12. Hannah Tapp added 11 and Haleigh Washington contributed 10 points in the victory, including two blocked balls and four aces.

Miroslava Paskova was the only Bulgarian player who reached double digits in scoring with 14 points, including two attacks blocked and one ace.
