RIMINI, Italy, June 17, 2021 – United States won
a seesaw battle against Netherlands 3-2 (21-25,
25-17, 23-25, 25-15, 15-13) in a men’s
volleyball match of the FIVB Nations League on
Thursday.
The Americans bounced back from an 8-11 deficit
in the tie-breaker to claim the victory.
The winners committed an astonishing 34 unforced
errors to 22 by the Dutch side, but led in
attacks 67-51, blocks 8-3 and aces 12-7.
Taylor Sander and Garrett Muaguatutia each
registered 21 points for the United States while
Matthew Anderson added 19. Mitchell Stahl added
12 in the winning effort.
Stijn van Tilburg led the Netherlands with 19
points and next was Thija ter Horst with 18.
The other in double figures was Ronbert Andringe
