Coaches Course Level I begins in Tijuana

 

TIJUANA, Mexico, August 18, 2012 - A total of 16 coaches from six countries are taking part of an FIVB International Coaches Course Level 1 that began on Saturday at Baja California High Performance Center in Tijuana.

 

The coaches are from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and host Mexico.

 

The activity is coordinated by the FIVB Regional Development Center in Dominican Republic. The course is conducted by Argelio Hernandez from Cuba with Argentina’s Eduardo Bellman as instructor.

 

An opening ceremony took place with the presence of representatives of NORCECA Confederation, the Mexican Volleyball Federation and the Baja California Sports and Physical Culture Institute.

 

 “I want to thank everyone for the invitation and also for having the opportunity of sharing our experience with many coaches.” Hernandez said. “I also want to thank Baja California, a region that has been an example in sport organization in Mexico.”

 

The course will conclude on August 30 and is divided into theoretical and practical sessions.
