The Mexican squad had no opposition from the Central American champions and had no mercy with 12 aces and a 9-2 advantage in blocking as each team must add the most number of points as possible in the preliminary round.

Estanislao Vacino argentinian coach for Mexico was sincere in accepting that they weren’t going to give away any points and that’s why they were relentless “our expectation is to qualify for the world championship, we did it already in the U-19 category, the first and second set were good, but in the third our most efficient weapon our serve, appeared”.

Coach Julio Dominguez of Guatemala expressed “we need more international exposure to improve, my team isn’t even the shadow of what they appeared to be today, they were very anxious, but we must be more disciplined in our receive so we’re able to add points.”
