BVB teams registration completed at Veracruz

 

VERACRUZ, Mexico, November 25, 2014. - Thirty two teams, representing nineteen countries, completed their registration during the preliminary inquiry of the double gender Beach Volleyball Tournament of the XXII Central American and Caribbean Games, Veracruz 2014.

 

Director of Competition Arnaldo Sanchez, presided the preliminary inquiry at the Games headquarters the World Trade Center in Veracruz, joined by Control Committee President Glenn Quinlan and Bertha Cuadra responsible of the Appeals Sub-Commission.

 

The delegations that began to arrive during the weekend in Veracruz, have already sustained practice sessions at the competition venue Magic Kingdom Park. During the inquiry, teams completed the proper paper work, presented their uniforms and were advised with general information about the competition.

Teams are divided in four Pools of four teams each (Men’s Pools A, B, C, D and Women’s Pools E, F, G, H), distributed according to NORCECA 2011-2014 Ranking. A round robin preliminary stage (November 26-27) determines Pool winners and second placed advancing to a final round; teams in third and fourth position play for 9-16 placing (November 28-29).

 

Quarterfinals and Semifinals (November 28-29) are played through a single elimination format determining 1-8 placing. Medal matches are set for Sunday November 30.
