“I want to thank Mexico for all your support, I’ve been here three times and retiring in this country has a special meanning for me,” Tash remarked as he was followed by fans for pictures and autographs.

“This has been such a great organization, thank you Mexico for making it possible. We faced a very agressive team that fought hard until the end. We had to keep on playing tough and also had to work hard with our service,” Colombian libero Juan Jaramillo remarked.

“This is too emotional for me. It has been a priviledge to be his coach. “Congratulations to Colombia”, said Trinidadian coach Gideon Dickson after the retirement of Nolan Tash.

“It has been a pleasure seen such a great player, always healthy with no injuries in his 20 years of career. We finish the games not with a goal accomplished. We wanted a podium, but you learn after this that hard work pays its worth,” stated Daniel Moine, coach of Colombia.
