Beach Volleyball and Sport Events Commissions to meet in SD

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, December 6, 2012 – The Commissions of Beach Volleyball and Sport Events of NORCECA will have their annual meetings on December 7-8 and 9-10 at the organization’s headquarters in Santo Domingo.

During the meetings will be defined the competition calendars of both beach volleyball and volleyball for 2013, which include the senior continental volleyball championships, qualifiers to the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup, and the beach volleyball qualification tournaments towards the Youth Olympic Games.

Key members of both commissions already met earlier this month in Tijuana, Mexico in order to advance the preparatory works for the annual ordinary meeting.

“We are going to have a very tight schedule with so many competitions of beach volleyball and volleyball,” NORCECA General Manager Nelson Ramirez said. “We just finished our competitions with the volleyball tournaments in Jamaica and Curacao and the beach event in Aruba.”

“Next season will be a very demanding one and we need to have our people working with all cylinders,” Ramirez said.
