E-scoring sheet course concludes in Guatemala

 

GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, May 3, 2013. - A two-day course for the use of e-scoring sheet addressed by FIVB and NORCECA instructor Yeivic Jimenez of Venezuela concluded successfully in Guatemala.

 

The course took place on the occasion of the U-18 Girls Pan American Cup in coordination between  NORCECA and the Guatemalan National Volleyball Federation with 29 participants who received their certificates during the closing ceremony.

 

NORCECA President, Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, addressed the participants “you are part of a privileged group in the whole world that has received this course; in Central America you are the first ones and I want to congratulate your efforts and interest in improving your skills in favor of volleyball”.

 

The NORCECA Confederation as part of their responsibility provides its 41 affiliates with developing programs and in this opportunity they are moving forward with the global modernization of volleyball and beach volleyball.

 

Enrique Santis, President of the Guatemalan National Federations expressed his gratitude by stating: “NORCECA has always sustained endless efforts in the instruction of our referees who add a new tool to their knowledge”.

 

Also attending the course were Jorge Villalobos of Costa Rica, member of the Refereeing Commission of NORCECA and Luis Dario Rocha of Colombia, a member of the Refereeing Commission of the South American Volleyball Confederation.
