Guatemala defeated Nicaragua for 6th place

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, April 29, 2019 – Guatemala defeated Nicaragua 3-1 (25-22, 25-17, 17-25, 25-17) in the match for sixth place at the U19 Boys’ Pan American Volleyball Cup held in Santo Domingo.

Jason Hernández and Kevin Hoil finished with 16 points and 14 points, respectively, as the best scorers for Guatemala, followed by David Ismalej who added 11 tallies. For Nicaragua, Jackley Oporta and Gerald Gómez Mejía finished with 16 and 10.

Guatemala outscored Nicaragua in attacks 53-46 and in aces 6-2 while the losers were better in blocking 9-2.
