“Congratulations to Mexico for the victory. They had a great help and support by their fans. There were some moments when we could close the set, specially when we were 13-10, but we lost our concentration and that was the time when the fans put pressure,” said Kervin Piñerua, captain of  Venezuela.

“It was a nice match, like a final. Congratulations to Mexico. They deserved the victory. It is not easy to face their fans. We had many moments in the fifth set,” said Vicenzo Nacci, coach of Venezuela.

“It was an excellent match played by our young mates. We prepared a lot for it and controlled the pressure of facing such a great team that have increased their level since 2010. It was difficult, but the support of our fans was key to achieve this goal,” said Carlos Guerra captain of Mexico.

“All the instructions we gave to the team were developed in 90 percent . They followed the work in video and all the strategy as we prepared extremely for a rival like Venezuela,” said Ivan Contreras, coach of Mexico. “Volleyball is a sport of mistakes, and you always have tho focus in many things to work on.”
