Marte Hoffiz confirmed as First Executive Vice President of FIVB

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, May 18, 2021 – Mr. Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of NORCECA Confederation, has been confirmed as First Executive Vice-President of FIVB for the period of 2021-2024.

 

The announcement was made at the conclusion of the virtual meeting of the Board of Administration presided over by FIVB President Dr. Ary Da Silva Graça Filho.

 

This will be the fourth four-year period of Mr. Marte Hoffiz of the Dominican Republic as First Executive Vice President of the world’s volleyball governing body.

 

Mireya Luis of Cuba and Mushtaque Mohammed of Trinidad & Tobago were confirmed also as Executive Vice Presidents. Luis had been elected by the Congress to the Board of Administration as gender in minority.

 

As per the FIVB Constitution, the FIVB Executive Committee is composed of 13 members:

 

• The FIVB President

• The five Presidents of the Continental Confederations

• Two gender in minority members elected by the Congress to the Board of Administration

• Five members of the FIVB Board of Administration proposed by the FIVB President, each from a different Continental Confederation.

 

The following members will now join the FIVB Executive Committee:
